POLICY 10: REFUND & PAYMENT POLICY

10.1 Purpose
10.1.1 This Refund & Payment Policy governs all financial transactions conducted on CRU.
10.1.2 CRU is owned and operated by Cruvels Private Limited, Chennai, India.
10.1.3 By making any payment on CRU, you agree to this Policy.
10.2 Payment Processing
10.2.1 All payments on CRU are processed through authorized third-party payment gateways.
10.2.2 CRU:
	•	(a) Does not store complete card or banking details
	•	(b) Does not control third-party gateway processing systems
	•	(c) Is not responsible for payment gateway outages
10.2.3 Users agree to comply with payment gateway terms.
10.3 Pricing & Charges
10.3.1 CRU may offer:
	•	(a) Subscription plans
	•	(b) Premium features
	•	(c) Sponsored promotion services
	•	(d) Political advertisement placement
10.3.2 All applicable fees will be clearly displayed before payment confirmation.
10.3.3 CRU reserves the right to modify pricing at its discretion.
10.4 Subscription Terms
10.4.1 If subscription services are offered:
	•	(a) Billing may be monthly or annually
	•	(b) Auto-renewal may apply unless canceled before renewal date
	•	(c) Users are responsible for managing subscription settings
10.4.2 Failure to cancel before renewal may result in automatic charges.
10.5 Refund Policy
10.5.1 Unless otherwise stated, all payments are non-refundable.
10.5.2 Refunds may be granted only under the following circumstances:
	•	(a) Duplicate transactions
	•	(b) Unauthorized charges verified by payment provider
	•	(c) Technical billing errors directly attributable to CRU
10.5.3 Refund requests must be submitted within 7 days of transaction date to: legal@cruvels.com
10.6 Political Advertisement Payments
10.6.1 Payments made for political advertisements:
	•	(a) Are non-refundable once advertisement review begins
	•	(b) Are non-refundable after advertisement is published
	•	(c) May be refunded only if rejected before review
10.6.2 Advertisers are responsible for ensuring compliance before payment.
10.7 Chargebacks & Payment Disputes
10.7.1 If a user initiates a chargeback:
	•	(a) CRU may suspend the associated account
	•	(b) Access to paid services may be revoked
	•	(c) Additional verification may be required
10.7.2 Fraudulent chargebacks may result in permanent account termination.
10.8 Taxes
10.8.1 Users are responsible for applicable taxes unless otherwise stated.
10.8.2 CRU may include GST or other applicable taxes in pricing.
10.9 Payment Security
10.9.1 CRU relies on third-party payment providers with:
	•	(a) Encryption
	•	(b) Fraud monitoring
	•	(c) Secure processing standards
10.9.2 CRU does not guarantee uninterrupted payment availability.
10.10 Cancellation Policy
10.10.1 Users may cancel subscriptions at any time.
10.10.2 Cancellation:
	•	(a) Prevents future renewals
	•	(b) Does not retroactively refund previous payments
10.10.3 Access to premium features may continue until the end of billing period.
10.11 Limitation of Liability
10.11.1 To the fullest extent permitted by law, CRU shall not be liable for:
	•	(a) Payment gateway failures, outages, or technical errors
	•	(b) Banking network failures or disruptions
	•	(c) Third-party payment processor errors or delays
	•	(d) Delayed settlement or refund processing caused by external providers
	•	(e) Transaction failures due to insufficient funds, expired cards, or User error
	•	(f) Indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive financial losses
10.11.2 CRU is not responsible for financial processing errors caused by external payment providers.
10.11.3 Total liability for payment-related disputes shall not exceed the amount paid by the User for the specific disputed service, subject to the master limitation of liability clause in the Terms of Service.
10.12 Fraud Prevention
10.12.1 CRU reserves the right to:
	•	(a) Suspend suspicious transactions
	•	(b) Request identity verification
	•	(c) Reject payments deemed high-risk
10.12.2 Fraudulent activity may be reported to lawful authorities.
10.13 Governing Law
10.13.1 This Policy shall be governed by the laws of India.
10.13.2 Disputes shall be subject to jurisdiction of courts in Chennai, Tamil Nadu.
10.14 Policy Updates
10.14.1 CRU may update this Policy periodically.
10.14.2 Continued use of paid services constitutes acceptance of revised terms.
